Our neat Scandi-Style Decorative Logs are the perfect finishing touch for any Nordic-inspired interior. Nordic décor typically incorporates neutral colour schemes with plenty of natural, textural materials, so install a stack of these logs that combine white with natural wood to create a stunning contemporary feature within an empty alcove or fireplace.

Our Scandi-Style Logs were featured in Ideal Home Magazine (June 2020 issue), as part of their 'Weekend Style Fixes'  article. A simple yet clever idea to create a focal point in a room without a fireplace, the stylist @thatssogemma mounted a reclaimed surround to a wall and filled the opening with a stack of these stylish logs to create the illusion of depth. She also included several hand-painted logs from our Colour Mix range, picking out colour details from the beautiful artwork displayed above the stack. This mainly white installation is light, airy and modern in feel.

Scandi-Style Logs are perfect if you’re considering simply part-filling a space – the chalky white sides of the logs can then be easily admired. As with all of our wood products, these logs should NOT be stacked or displayed against, or adjacent to, any fire or burner that may cause the logs to get hot.

Each softwood log is lightly whitewashed along its entire length plus one end grain; the other end grain remains as natural wood. You choose which end to display - why not try a mix of both?

One bundle (30cm x 30cm x log length) contains approximately 12-15 logs of varying diameters (from 4cm to 15cm), including two half logs ideal for neatening the outer edges of the log stack. They create a close-fitting stack with very small gaps between the logs - they are ideal for displaying in large or small recesses. The natural wood can sometimes be visible through the delicate finish.

Scandi-Style Logs are available in 10cm and 20cm log lengths. PLEASE NOTE: there will be a slight delay with dispatch of 20cm long logs; these logs are currently being processed through the kilns and will be dispatched as quickly as possible.

HOW MANY BUNDLES WILL YOU NEED? We recommend accurately measuring the height and width of the recess that you would like to fill - being out by just 1cm can affect your overall requirements - then use one of our formulae to calculate how many bundles you will need to completely fill it:

In Centimetres: Height x Width / 900 = total number of bundles required (Height times Width divided by 900)

In Inches: Height x Width / 144 = total number of bundles required (Height times Width divided by 144)
